Padlock cover hoods welded to both sites of an old set of entrance gates. Besides providing additional protection to the padlock, the hoods also provide a reasonable degree of protection from ice and snow in the winter months. They also stop uninvited persons from easily seeing what kind of lock is fitted or if it is actually secured on the gate.
