Sometimes palisade fences
come under attack with people trying to remove the bottom palisade pale
fixings to allow them to move one pale out of position and gain entry
through the fence. An additional low rail provides an extra degree of
security to the bottom part of the palisade fence from this kind of
attack. Even with this additional lower rail, it is always a good idea
to keep a clear corridor along the back of any fence so that any
intrusion through the fence can be quickly identified and remedied.
